With only hints of a script in production now, and opportunities to return Moneypenny and Q to the big screen, there is some anticipation for Craig’s third outing as Oh-Oh-Seven.
Further excitment comes when you consider that Connery, Moore and Brosnan were in the heights of their Bond powers for their third films (Goldfinger, TSWLM, TWINE).
You have the com, Mr Bond. What would you make the plotline(s) of the third Craig Bond?
For me, since all bets are off and the whole series has been rebooted, I say remake Goldfinger. Great and memorable villains, great dialogue and situations. Golf is hot with Tiger Woods on the trail, heck, put him in the movie.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe only villian i would redo is Blofeld. I think he should be the head of Quantum. Maybe end Bond 23 with the shot of a white cat…
I think its not wise to totally remake a existing movie. Some fans (not me) would only protest even more against Craig. What they could do is look at last at some of the other bond novels, thos of gardner and benson, to make a movie.
The Union from The Union trilogy of Benson comes close to Quantum. Also in the novel Doubleshot the bond-girls are twins. That would be a nice novel twist (there havent’been twin bond girls, only twin bad guys in Bond movies till now)

Flapflop
Maybe Dr No,I agree with flapflop,,maybe try anothe Bond novel from another author..
Interesting, I agree their would be backlash against any Connery remake.
John Gardner’s For Special Services would be excellent as a film IMO. So would–dare I say it–Devil May Care. I’d love to see a real period piece dated to the 60’s for Bond.
If they wanted to make a really period piece Craig would be out. If they wanted to adapt Devil May Care they probably update it to our time. Or make a new reboot after Craig quits.
Forget Devil May Care. I don’t think it would work for a movie that well. Especialy with Craig as Bond. What EON should do is get on those Gardner/Benson books
Moonraker, close to the way it was written, since that’s as much terra incognita as Casino Royale was a few years ago. The style shold be spare rather than over dosed with technology or luxury. Bond using his wits, often alone, _not_ getting the girl in the end. Some scenery would be plain looking (a la late in FRWL) but the cliffs would look great.
It needs a new title, of course. All i can come up with are cheesy ones: Spoonbreaker, Loonfaker… maybe the bad guys are exiled from a desert country and something in the plot involves fresh water: Duneslaker.
