Whoa.

It’s priced at £50,000, which in US dollar is over $98,000, but y’know, I always expected that if there were jet packs, they’d be pricey.

The New Zealand inventor, Glen Martin, calls it “the world’s first practical jetpack.”

It could be on sale by next year.

Mr Martin said the jetpack lasts for 30 minutes, is powered by twin rotors and has a 200 horsepower engine.

It stands about 5ft (1m), resting on three legs and the rotors are encased in two large ducts.

The jetpack is not powered by jets but has a gasoline-powered piston engine which runs the large rotors.
